DYING TO MEAT YOU!!

WHY BE A VEGGIE?

Slaughter is not humane. Animal welfare has low priority in abattoirs and the existing legislation is often ignored.

Animal-based foods are a major cause for diseases like cancer, heart diseases, etc.

Outbreaks of food poisoning are usually traced to foods of animal origin.

Livestock are responsible for consuming 80% of the world’s water supplies.

Eating non-veg.food leads to higher triglyceride levels (fats of animal origin) in the body causing proneness to stress, hostility and aggression.

We do not need meat. Can eating corpses be healthy?

Compassion for humans and animals is indivisible! All life is one!!

Effluents from abattoirs and factory farms are major pollutants

Reduces the destruction of wildlife habitat and heips protect plant and animal species.

Eating meat supports world famine! A plot of land can feed 12 people who eat plants and grains, but only one person if the plants are first fed to an animal!! About 60 million people starve to death every year!!!

TO HELP END THEIR MISERY & SUFFERING, SHOW HOW YOU CARE BY:

THE FISH

Aquaria are no more than underwater jails. The fish have to suffer (in) human handling till they die. They often get hurt when they bump against the glass walls. All this just to fulfil our wish to see them at close quarters.

Let us resolve to put an end to such pleasures!

THE DUCK

Badminton shuttlecocks are made from duckwing feathers. The feathers are mercilessly torn from their bodies while they are alive. All this just for a ‘game’?

THE TURTLE

Turtles are illegally captured by poachers along the coast of the Ganges in west bengal and orissa for their meat and eggs.

Let Baby Turtles Hatch on the Beachesas Nature Intended!

THE PIG

The pig has to suffer horrendous pain for making brushes used to paint our walls. captured and immobilized by being held under foot by two or three people, its hair is plucked out mercilessly. what a high prior to pay for gleaming, colourful walls.

THE COW

To manufacture gold and silver foil (varkh) for decoration on sweets, paan and ayruvedic concoctions, thin strips of metal are placed between the ox-gut of freshly slaughtered cattle, bound in a calf leather pouch and pounded for 8 hours. Is this glitter really woth the gore?

Let us demand cruelty-free sweets and medical products!

Why not use rollers instead?

THE LAMB

Besides meat, the other most common product obtained from sheep is wool. Sheep reared for wool are killed for meat at the end of their wool-bearing years. When alternative fabrics like cotton and acrylic are available to keep us warm, why demand wool?

Demand cotton!
Buy cotton!
