Karuna Club organisation started in a humble way
in just three clubs in 1995 but with in a shortperiod
of five years it has grown to 250 clubs in schools
and colleges. Now we are endeavouring to spread
if to all parts of India and abroad. We have consulted
many educationalists and teachers on how to develop
an effective programme which will really promote
compassion and kindness in the hearts of children.
The unanimous advice has been that children like
an activity -oriented programme and not mearly lectures
and talks. They have suggested a "Fourteen
- Point Programme" which will be popular with
the children. This was discussed in several workshops,
seminars and committee meetings and finaly adopted
by our organisation . To implement this programmem
the raining of tachers is essential. Hence the teachers
orientation and training programmes were also stared
. The name "KARUNA CLUB" itslef denotes
that it is an enjoyable activity. Each school is
expected to conduct a minimum of six programmes
in a year. The Following programmes serve as a guidline
to promote Karun aor Compassion.
